My Fuji Finepix z1 is having a few problems. When I slide it to on, I can focus on something take a pic but then it swithches itself off without saving it. I thought it may be the battery but it is telling me the battery is fully charged. It doesn't seem to be saving any new vids I take either,as soon as i stop recording I get "Write Error" across the screen and it switches off.. A few months after I had it the sound output in Video mode stopped working, although when I transfered it to my P.C the sound is there. I should say that I have had the camera for 2 years Last December. It was a christmas present. After trawling the 'net I still haven't found a solution. So to summarise it is not taking any vids or pics but will let me view the ones already stored, the battery says it is fully charged. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

My fuji fine pix z1's flash doesnt work. i dont even remember it worked ever. the pics are blurred most of the time

1) Check you're settings are all on "Auto".
2) The button you press to take the photo is a 2 stage button. Press half way, if you're gentle you should feel a slight resistance. Pause at this stage, just for a moment to allow your camera to focus properly. Then proceed with the action until photo is taken.
3) It takes a little practice to get used to it, but with any luck you photo's should be crisp.

4) If this doesn't work and you bought it less than a year ago, take it back to the shop and comlain.

Zoom error

If you are in a mode such as macro of some other modes then the camera is unable to focus when the telephoto lense is extended past a certan point, mine has never told me in that way, but I am sure that that is the problem, just zoom out to the widest angle possible then in photoshop you can crop the image later.

Fuji finepix Z1 has DSC on screen ?

Hi and welcome to FixYa.

The reason it doesn't charge properly is probably due to age of the battery. Over time, they charge less and less. You need to replace the battery.

DSC Mode means you can access your card.

There is not enough room to explain every step to moving your pictures to the pc. Please refer to your manual to learn how to do this. If you have any other questions you can leave me a comment.

Have fun with your camera,

Rob

Fuji fine pix z1 error

I had the same problem and finally had the time to look at it. I was reading some other posts, when I read try the telephone trick. Leave the camera closed and kinda slam it on a hard surface. I slid the shutter open and focused and it took a pic with no problem!!!

Fuji Finepix Z1 Zoom Error

I saw another post in this forum were someone suggest banging it on a table a couple times, not to hard that you'd dent it but a good enough bang. Worked like a charm! I tried the trigger and slide method but while the error message went away the zoom wouldn't focus. Try banging it, it sounds bad but it worked wonders!
