Maytag dryer makes loud squeeling noise when it gets hot. Drys clothes but makes such a loud squeeling noise. Have to let it cool down to continue to dry.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

A loud squeal is usually caused by either an idler pulley bearing. a drum roller bearing or a loose belt.

Since you did not include a model number I have to respond with generic across the board information. Idler pulleys, drum rollers and belts for Maytags can be found on this link:
(Just past half way down the page) http://www.apwapplianceparts.com/Laundry+Appliance+Parts/Dryer+Appliance+Parts+/Dryer+Drive+Belts+Idler+Pulleys+and+Support+Rollers/default.aspx

You can enter your model number on this page and find your parts: (Choose model number)
http://www.appliancepartspros.com

If you do repair it yourself.... do yourself a HUGE favor and either take a picture of the belt routing or draw a belt routing diagram BEFORE dis-assembly.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

My beko condenser tumble dryer is drying fine but is making a loud scraping noise. When I took out the clothes there was a strip of white felt in the washing

Looks daunting to start with but just done mine,
remove top and all rear covers and rear panel after removing drum split washer, pump hoses, belt and elec connection, remove the drum and you will see where the felt seal goes. i had some felt i cut to 12mm wide and siliconed it in place, left to dry for 6 hrs, now runs fine.

Our dryer runs and drys clothes but makes a VERY loud noise doing it - it almost sounds metallic

The reason to this problem is due to the rollers.
Remove the front panel and the drum to find the
rollers. If your roller is bad you may need to
replace it.

As it drys clothes it makes a very loud noise

IF IT SOUNDS LIKE A SQUEELING NOISE ON THE BACK OF DRYER YOU WILL SEE A LITTLE PLATE ABOUT 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER WITH 2 SCREWS SPRAY A LITTLE LUBE IN THE DRUM SHAFT AND SEE IF THIS QUIETS THE NOISE IF SOO YOU NEED THE REPLACE THE BUSHING THERE

Dryer makes noise and vibrates when starting and stopping

Most likely it is the bad blower wheel. The clothes seems hotter than normal oh yeah bad blower wheel.
