While replacing the cooktop light can be done by accessing the cover on the bottom of the oven, replacing the cavity light will require you to pull the oven from the wall and remove the outer cover.
The installation instructions are very handy in this case, and it's best to have
two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

most hardware stores/home centers carry them, you will need to unplug the unit and you should be able to access the lamp and unscrew it from inside the cooking chamber near the top of the cavity, you may need to remove a screw holding the cover first
Hi, there are three issues that will cause a no heat situation in a microwave. these issue are a failed Magnetron, busted cut-off fuse and, failed diode.
I recommend checking all these area that are located inside the microwave for faults.
The most common issue will be a failed Magnetron.
The diode and, fuse will be located on the noise filter assembly.
I agree that the light is unrelated. 99.9% chance you have a bad magnetron tube but it is covered by either
a 5 or 10 year parts warranty through GE. Call GE Factory Service at

Please clarify which model Spacemaker Micro you have .. and Spacemaker microwave ovens can be configured to vent inside or out simply by repositioning the blower assembly prior to mounting it to the wall bracket so turn it on and determine where the vent air is being distributed ( outside or inside) ..
