A quick google search of that model number turns up that tv doesn't have an HDMI port. Your next option would just use component cables instead. At 26 inches you will never notice the difference.

What we need to is eliminate first of all the discs that you can`t play etc finalised, region code.

Sounds like you might not be able to intuitively find out how to burn your program to dvd by using the menu buttons on the remote so you'll have to contact LG for the link to the manual download, either that or get a teenager to help you.
