NV-GS60 camcorder when recording looks OK, but nothing's recorded
NV-GS60 camcorder when recording looks OK, but counter re-starts every time when I press red-button. Trying to play back does not work at all. It behaves as nothing's been recorded (--- ---- ---).

Ok, I've had this issue for some time now ... and just figured it out, hopefully your issue will be the same.
If you pop out the tape you are trying to record to. Look at the top, there is a small tab on one of the corners that will allow or prevent recording on the tape depending on which way it is positioned. If you slide it open the tape is locked for recording, if you close it, you can record. Try that and see if the problem goes away.....
Clean the heads(use the specified cleaning tape sparingly). Change tape. Using Panasonic video tape? It sounds like no. You might get by with Sony... Try Panasonic. The tapes are different thickness, durability and therefore suitability for cameras. Try to get ME -type tape( metal evaporated) instead of MP( metal particle) as the particles tend to flake off more readily. The blue often means no signal(video) was recorded in that space(on the tape). Let me know it it helps.
...and try this first...: You need to know in which position was camera turned of. So try turning it on in RECORD OR PLAY position. It will work then...
