No power outage or surge, but my monitor is doing the same thing; powers on, then blinks on and off. A different monitor works fine with the cpu.

Same problem - Envision EN4710 monitor, blinks on and off repeatedly. It's not an incoming signal interruption - same problem occurs connected to different CPUs.

Just fixed mine. Maybe it's a few years late. Hope you guys still have the display. It's the power supply board. I've just replaced 4 bulge capacitors near one edge of the PS. They are 2x1000uF 10V, 1x470uF 25V & 1x470 10V. I salvaged my parts from an old CRT monitor. Hey you can go green with your repairs too!

Try a different video card or disconnect the one you have in your PC and use the VGA monitor connection on the motherboard. If it works your video card is gone.

My monitor will not work it is flashing a green light on the led indicator

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed ENVISION monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Please read below if you are going to DIY repair since you will have to open up the monitor.

We have an Envision 9410e 19" LCD monitor which is about 4 years old. Recently it has started being very slow to start up, especially in the morning after the system is not in use all night. The screen...

cmgusa, Reconnect 9410e to original PC. Please note if same symptom occurs again. This sounds like an intermittant or failed solder connection of some component on the inverter/smps power supply board. Have you tried the FLASHLIGHT test when the monitor goes to a BLACK screen? You did not state the approx # of hrs of use this unit has on it. The Flashing you describe is most likely the cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes trying to start-up. If they don't light then you get a black screen. They (CCFT) get their voltage from the inverter section of the power supply. But anyway... Your options as a consumer/user are as follows. Check with Envision to see if they have a swapout program... you send them your 9410e +$50-$90 and they send you a REFURBISHED 9410e with 30-90 day warranty. or Find local TECH (TV-Monitor) who knows forward and backwards all there is to know about repair of LCD monitors. There are some very good tech's right here on fixya that could do the repair and not rip you off. Last but not least is try to effect repair yourself. If this last option is of intrest get back to me only after doing web search of monitor disassembly video clips on youtube and doing search for things like bad caps or recapping and inverter repair + have a minimal understanding of how a SMPS/inverter powersupply functions. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel @aol.com Bye for now.

HP vs17x flat screen monitor won't come on, blue light flashes.

Try taking on the back of the monitor and pulling the power plug all the way out of it for about five minutes and then plug it back in and restart the computer see if it solved it thanks

My Envision 7100 Stop Working

These are all some component failure problem in the monitor circuits. This may have been caused by faulty components or overheating of the components causing intermittent or permanent failure of some components in the circuits. This causes the feedback circuits to sense incorrect voltages or currents in the circuits and turn on the protection circuit. It may also cause total failure of the power supply circuit and a loss of power to the monitor. These units should be returned to dealers for servicing. Hope this helps you .

Won't turn on

This is a problem with either the power supply or or logic circuit. It could also be caused by a failure in the back light circuits. One of these problems has caused the power supply to go into protection mode and will not turn on due to bad voltages sensed in the feedback circuits. Return to dealer for service. Hope this helps you .

Flashing green power light - Black screen

I had the same problem with an AOPEN 17' lcd that was left behind at a rental property... I plugged it into my dell dimmension 4400 in place of my old analog. It worked fine the fist night, and got up and when turned it on again it had the famed green blinking power light. I switched back to the analog, and just disappointed I plugged in the AOPEN to another power source, and power came on a steady red light. I plugged it back into the puta and it came on again. I have not turned the monitor off again for fear of the blinks, and has been working great for close to a week now. Hope it helps someone else out there. Richard
