WT-46809 Inputs show lines across screen

When we switch from TV to other Inputs (Wii and DVD) there are lines across the screen and flickering of lamps. TV shows fine - anyone have ideas on what it is?

1. THE SYMPTOM IS BRIGHTER IMAGE ON THE SIDES AND DARKER IN THE MIDDLE. THE PROBLEM CAN BE WITH RED BLUE AND/OR GREEN. CHECK FOR PROPER CONNECTIONS TO THE "DAG COATING AND CONNECTIONS TO PIN 9 ON THE SOCKET OF THE AFFECTED CRT. MAKE SURE THESE GROUND POINTS ARE COMMON WITH CHASSIS GROUND.

My wii when i turn it on it only has lines going across the screen.. about a week back it was saying something about the memory. now it wont load the wii menu nor will it load any games... if anyone knows...

Picture Is Black and White or Does Not Appear
Situation:

The console powers on and shows a black and white image on the television screen
The console powers on and there is no image on the television

What to do:

Determine whether the Standard AV Cables (packaged with the system) or the Component Cables (sold separately) are being used.
AV Cables
Ensure the yellow, red, and white cables are connected to the correct corresponding inputs on the TV. (How To)
Try another set of inputs on the TV, or hooking the Wii console up to another TV.
If the TV does not have the yellow, red and white inputs, it will most likely have component inputs which allow standard AV cable use. Try these AV hookup steps. (How To)
Component Cables
Ensure the red, blue and green video cables are connected to the correct corresponding inputs on the TV. (How To)
Try another set of inputs on the TV, or hooking the Wii console up to another TV.

Still Not Resolved:

If the television is continues to show a black and white image when powering on the Wii console, then the problem is likely with the system and it will need to be repaired. Please call 1-800-255-3700 so that we may assist you further.

Mitsubishi wt-46809 46in wont power on

You need to adjust the votages going to the crt's. As the flyback transformer starts to go out the voltages to the crts can go up and down causing the tv to shut off. It also causes red, green, or blue arced lines to show up on the screen. It can also cause some color fading in and out or flickering. Adjusting the voltages can fix the problem temporarily but in the long run it's a good idea to replace the flyback. Make sure you read up on how to do this safely.

Certain HD settings won't work

no the set uses only two settings in the Y, Pb,Pr which it swithes back and forth. when a 480i,480p SD singal is detected it will switch to 480p, when an HD signal is detected it swiches to 1080i. when it swiches the picture scrambles for a second or two. to correct this in your cable box (if it's a motorola box) leave the tv on, press the power button on the box to shut down the box. next press the menu button on the box and the internal menu will show. use the cursor buttons on the box to select "480i overide" use the arrow to the right to select "streached" them hit menu to get out. hit the power button to turn the box back on.
