No,this flame is like this because either the flame orfice is dirty or the burner is dirty or the unit isnt getting enough air mixture to completely burn the gas and this will lead to a yellow flame instead of the normal blue flame

Flame very low in bottom oven

If the flame stays low from the beginning then it will be the flame safety device (fsd) not opening on sensing the flame and will require replacement by a gas certified engineer.

Hello,do you know what would cause the following problem in an Electrolux Cooker,MODELNO: DD061, PROD NO: 948522135, SERIAL NO: 42900006. THERE IS AN ODD TASTE OFF THE FOOD WHEN COOKED IN THE MAIN OVEN?

is it a gas range?are you getting soot? you need to look at flame while unit is on, remove oven botton to expose the burner, easy!!!! 2 screws on back inside over and pull bottom up. shut door turn on range and look at flame if it is yelolow and long flames you need air ajustment at burner, inside very bottom door you will see the air shutter, open it a litttle if falmes are yellow and long and test it again.

Oven lights on low flame but will not come up on high flame .cannon chester cooker.suspect by pass is not working. Do I need control knob/thermostat with the phial. Thanking you.

all gas range ovens have a small metal box in the back upper area of the broiler burner; a gas line runs into this box as do two wires; this is a "flame control " gas valve; the way it works is: after the pilot has been lit as you turn the oven temp control a heating element in the box causes a small valve to open allowing a larger amount of gas into the oven burner to ignite the whole burner If you can only get pilot flame on high replace this valve

Apart from the main supply to the cooker terminals

So long as the earth is connected to the earth terminal, then there is no prob for you to worry about.
The normal twin and earth cable is adequate.
Please rate my comments.

Oven blew a fuse

The POP sound normally indicates a short circuit fault (as opposed to overload) you need to have it looked at by a competent person.
