My DS Fire Card is screwed!

Try taking the SD card out and cleaning them.

When do you see this error?

1. If you see this error while playing a Nintendo DS game card game:

you have to press and hold select and press right,try game again and if it still wont play, just keep doing it till you get the format that it works on. i hope this helps

my fire card did the same to me, you have loaded a virus infected game on your card, you cant get it fixed, ive tried everythin so i called the call centre and they basically said its screwed, sorry im afraid you will have to get a new one or if possible a replacement

Have you been installing games without switching off 1st?

with lots of use the contacts on the game slot become worn...with wear they wont make contact with the cartridge you insert....of course it could be the other way and the cartridge could have dirty contact...as could the DS..

I am not clear on this part but i am sure someone has advised on here to clean the contacts of the DS with a alcohol based cleaner...

I did have Error: Data is not align 16k! when i start up my ds.
What I did was..

All the files you need are at www.neoflash.com.
Your need (MK5) v1.45 which is in the download section.

Some of the nds roms do needed unraring before putting on memory card. They should be in .nds format etc.

The files you need are...

DSYSTEM (Entire Folder And Contents
MK5_2Mbit_test_v5.nds
MK5_PassMe.nds
xmenu.dat

When you have these files THEN you can format by...

Please insert both cards in to the DS and power up, tap the screen to continue as you would for any normal game.

You will then come to the menu "USB Mode" and "Menu Mode"
Instead of selecting one please press and hold the "select button" on the DS then tap "start"

Select "Quick Format"
Once complete restart the DS, you will have to tap the screen as above and this time select" USB MODE"

By formatting the menu file will have been deleted from internal Memory and will need replacing with the files. downloaded from neoflash.com

Now your new system is ready, restart NDS and enjoy


Will fix almost all problems with DS Firecard and applies to both 8 and 16gbit.

Since it's brand-new I suggest bringing it back to the store for help. Someone in the video game section should be able to diagnose (in person) whether it needs to be repaired or replaced.
