Epson R320. Had a "end of life" message so I held done the Power/Maintainence/Stop buttons for 10 secs and nothing happend. Held them again and unplugged it, plugged it back in and pressed Power and now it says General Error and won't go away. I've downloaded SSCSU V4.3 and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm running windows Vista

The R320 is not compatible with the keypad press routine if I remember correctly so you really need a utility that can work with it.

I've had a quick check and found that the A10_IPR is capable of handling the reset for that model but for completeness here's the link for all the current info I have on the R320 in terms of resetting and fitting an external waste tank which you'll want to consider to avoid the printer flooding with waste ink.

Hope it's of some use but let me know if you're still borked after trying.

Martin

My little buddy won't turn on, it's charged, plugged into computer. green light won't come on at all. I held the power button on for 10 -15 sec with no response.

I have 2 of these devices. Try using a cellular phone charger with the same plug at the end and plug it in. I have waited 5-10 minutes after doing this and they have come back to life and turn on. Maybe it will work for you.

Our epson stylus rx500 printer has been saying ERROR: Printer Error --> See documentation & call for support

this means that you may need a reset your ink waste counter. try to perform this

For the RX500 - Hold down "clear + setup + on"

continue to hold the buttons until the printer had powered on, then off again, then back on. Once I noticed that the LCD had flashed a blank screen, I let go of the 3 keys. In the LCD window I was given access to 3 options using the select keys.

The first had something to do with calibrating the scan light, the second option said "startup." The 3rd did the trick. An abbreviation resembling "ink pad level" was what I was looking for. Here is where I forget what I did... I think that I pressed "OK" on the keypad,. It did nothing. Then I think that I held down the clear button for around 10 seconds. When I let go of the clear button, the LCD read "Press Power to Reset." All better now!

post me a review should this work sir / ma'am coz it did for me

I have an Epson R320 Printer. error message;service required. printer parts are at end of service life see service manual for details. I can not find anything in the service manual about this. This printer...

This message indicates that your waste ink pads are full and require replacing. Replacement is costly, messy and requires the printer to be taken completely apart. Most often the counter has "jumped" to the end of life number, this especially happens where 3rd party or refilled inks have been used. If you believe this to be the case and there is no sign of ink leakage and the pads look fairly clean then you can just reset the counter using special software called the SSC utility. See these sites:
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
http://inkjetprinterhelp.us/epsonSSC.html
More information about this issue and the "official" Epson resetter is available from the Epson web site, please read this link:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/InkPadsForm.jsp

Please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

General error on my epson stylus photo r320-

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
