You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.

  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

My remote stopped working can it be reset

Hello;

I found the following reference to resetting anything related to the ZN110 remote:

"This remote control works well for all the basic functions on the television: changing channels, adjusting volume, and turning the set on and off. There is not a way to program the TV with the remote control, so if you need to reset the channels after a power outage, for example, you have to do it manually on the TV set itself."

Or it could just be batteries?

CT-90157 Remote Control: change batteries does not turn on tv...

Hi there,

It is possible that you will need to re-program your remote control, it sounds as though the remote has lost it's settings. This can happen when changing batteries, usually a remote will retain the code for around ten minutes or so once the batteries have gone flat or have been removed, after that time it loses it's code. I assume the batteries are new so try re-programing the remote control for your tv with the correct code and hopefully this will work.

Hope this helps,

James

Remote control not working (no functions),

Do the contacts look ok?

you can check if it is working by looking at it with a digital camera
press a button on the remote
if it shows as flashing on the digital camera screen, then you know it is transmitting.
then your problem would be either the device you are trying to operate is not receiving, or the remote is using the wrong code.

if the code is wrong then look it up online. there are some helpful sites that tell you the codes and how to program the remote.

good luck!

Kenwood remote 0809 wont adjust volume or change inputs

I looked thru the manual and the only two or three things I would ask would be: Is it in the right control mode? Amp/TV/DVD etc. silly I know but have to ask. Ithere a light or display that lights up when you push a button? if so, is it staying on? if so you could have a button thats jammed, it happens. Lastly it could be a microprocessor error in the remote and the remote needs to be reset. I didn't get to the process of how to do it but it is in the manual. That would be the last thing to try since programming alot of devices can be very time consuming! Lastly, the strange icon you see; is it on the lcd display of the remote or on the receiver? Hope this helps, if not send a reply and I'll dig some more for you

Can't Reset TV Don"t have orginial Remote control for TV

The remote must be programmed with the correct code. With the model you have, if something goes wrong or the code is lost it uses the last programmed code.

Go to:

http://66.77.167.109/rcaaccessories/RcaaccessoriesProductDetail.do?ACTION_TYPE_ID=ACTION_TYPE_PRODUCT_DETAIL&ACTION_CATEGORY_IDSTR_CATEGORY_UNIVERSAL_REMOTES&ACTION_PRODUCT_ID=RCR311S

and click the link for the manual.

If your code is not listed in the book (hard to say without knowing what brand TV you have) then you can use the remote code finder on the bottom left of the nav on the same page.

Good luck!
