make sure u have the latest drivers installed on all pc's..an if u dnt have service pack 3 on your xp system download service pack update..

You probably need to update the drivers for Vista and/or XP to work with this printer. Select the operating system you have and download the drivers.

I just went out to hp.com and found all kinds of drivers for the 8500 and XP. Hmmmm...
