Download of the manual

select a product: E10
click GO
select: User Manual of E10
Click the zip file in the language you prefer: English.zip for English .
Unzip the file after the download with Winzip or Winrar, to see the PDF file that can be read with Adobe Reader.

Upgrade using iRiver PLUS3 = Download and run iplus3.exe for matching the software on your computer and the firmware on the player

In page top of the support site: click Plus3
Click the Overview | Function | Download to see what Plus3 is and how it works.
Click Download irver PLUS3 to directly start the installation of this program onto your computer

Update the firmware = Download the firmware and run the firmware updater
for putting new firmware into the player

select a category: Firmware
select a product: E10
click GO
select: New Firmware of E10
Download the updater zip file
Unzip the firmware updater with Winzip or Winrar and run the execute file to start iriver Firmware Updater: follow the steps.
After a firmware update always run the Plus3 upgrade: to have the correct software on your computer that communicates with the player's
firmware

How do we update software

Refer the user manual to your set for details. Never try to update firmware, if you are not sure about it. Improper actions might make the set irresponsible.

Its asking for an update in order that I can play this b/ray dvd!

There is no cost to update the player on your own. You will need a 2GB flash drive formatted to the fat 32 file system. You can download the update to your usb device directly from www.sharp.ca
Click on Service Support, downloads, Blu ray player, next your model number, done
Click on the firmware and save it to your usb device.

Refer to the manual on page 40 for directions on completing the update on your player.

Best Buy can also update the unit for you for a charge.

Movie won't play on my BD- hp22u

Download the lastest update 4/26/2010 you will need a USB that has been formatted wit FAT 32 to install the update on your machine. follow the instructions from the Blu ray player. Refer to your manual if you need the instructions. I've just updated my BDHP21U and it works great now.

Yes you can. You can go to the microsoft website directly or simply run your Microsoft Update and look for the media player update. If you go through your updates completely, you will find the Windows Media Player 10 is the highest available prior to Windows Vista. If you have less than Windows XP you may have to settle for Media Player 9, but still, windows update will fix your issue.

I just bought a sylvania 4gb mp3 player and i installed the program on the disc and then plugged the mp3 player in and my laptop and it won't show up in my computer

If there is no picture displayed after the player is connected to PC and cannot serve as
storage disc or cannot be powered on after the battery is fully charged, please refer to the
following steps to update the software in the player.
(1) Download the most updated software from the attached CD (if any) or from the
website and implement the setup.exe files in the folder to complete the installation.
(2) Long press power button of the player for five seconds and then plug in the USB
cable.
(3) Implement the updated software installed by step (1) to start software upgrade and
release the Power/Stop button.
(4) The upgrade of software may format the player, so please copy the music or files in
the player.
(5) If the software upgrade program cannot detect the player, please unplug the USB
cable and repeat step (2) and (3) until the player is detected and the software
upgrade is completed.

Right click next link and select "Save target as..." for saving the zip file to a location on the computer.

When blu ray disc inserted always asks for software updates

Download update file from sharp website, refer to your owners manual for instructions on SOFTWARE UPGRADE. If you need help with the update Sharp customer care will guide you trough the process.

E10 Blackscreen

Looks lo\ike the OS crashed in the player. It is probably asking for a restore procedure. It is located on the CD or in the setup program that came wiht the Iriver.
