Question about D-Link DSM-320RD DVD Player

1 Answer

DSM-320RD reset problem???

After a reset, the machine refuse to response.

I uncovered the back, and check the internal content, there're three integrated electrical boards and there's no sign of "burn",

And also the output voltage is correct 5v/12v for the "voltage transfering board".

But no additional checking I can made because no corresponding detail manul.(only user manul which is useless for my case.)

No firmware upgrade; because I accidentally changed the video output mode to optical fiber output and my TV has no such input,

so I have to push the reset button, hoping to restore to the original audio/video mode. But the result seems devastating,.....???

It still refuses to work even now.

    Strange!!!

Was the reset due to a firmware upgrade? If not, please specify.

Your problem is most likely an incorrect video out setting. Examine how you are physically connected to your
TV, set your TV to view that input. After your unit is powered up and the Welcome dissappears, hit the Video Out button on your remote until you see the display.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board.

Have front loading Whirlpool Duet Sport washer, have tried to reset by plugging and unplugging electric cord however washer will still not turn on. Door is locked and I cannot get clothes out that are...

Hi,

To manually open the door on Duet washers, remove the panel below the door (three screws at bottom of machine) then reach inside up by the latch area, there should be a plastic tab hanging down. If you pull that tab down it should unlock your door. This info and the following info is based on the standard whirlpool duet washer, I'm judging that the internals between the regular and the sport are not much different.

Do you mean there's no power to the machine when you say "will not turn on" or do you mean it will not start a cycle. In most cases if you have power to the machine it won't start a cycle until it sees that the door is locked. So if you're having door lock problems one main problem is the CCU board. On this circuit board (inside machine, top, back, plastic case) there are bad solder joints also called cold solder joints where the relays (5 of them) and the spade connectors are supposed to be soldered firmly to the circuit board. The relays and the spade connectors control communications between the CCU and the door lock (and motor control).

The fix is not difficult (if this is the problem) just remove the plastic case with the board in it (it's easier that way) and touch-up those points I mentioned before. If you're not up on soldering techniques just take the board in the case, and this response, to a good appliance repair shop and they should be able to help you out. Good Luck

Has anyone had a problem with the on board vgp (monitor port) on this gateway motherboard model? I have added a graphics card but my monitor still does not come on. I can't get into bios, of course, to...

try to reset your bios. here is posted a picture of the bios reset jumper-

http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/ANIGMA/m00274/m0027426.shtml

to access bios, press f1 immediately at boot, at 1 second intervals. you need to change the graphix adapter from "integrated agp" to "agp" or "pci", depending on your card. this should be under, "boot options>initial display device".

since you prolly have to do this with the integrated video hooked up (since it will be set to "internal vga" until changed) you are prolly up a creek without a paddle.

Same as everyone else have to restart it 3-4 times in order to use it the stupid f1 code keeps showing and stopping the washer

It is fault code indicating an Out-Of-Range Pressure signal caused by either a faulty Pressure Transducer which is an integral part of the Machine/Motor Control Board or a pinched/kinked pressure hose. Check the pressure hose and make sure it is not pinched or kinked. The Machine/Motor Control Board needs to be replaced if there's no issue found with the pressure hose and the faut code keeps flashing. It simply mean the Pressure Transducer is at fault and since it is an integral part of the Machine/Motor Control Board, the assembly needs to be replaced. Unplug the machine before doing any checks or repairs.

Unscrew the rear panel from the back of the machine to access and check the pressure hose.

Remove the three hex-head mounting screws from the rear of the console then lift the console off the cabinet to access the Machine/Motor Control Board for replacement and the pressure hose for checks.

F01 - There may be an internal problem with the control, attempt a Hard Reset.

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

The F01 generally indicates a failed electronic machine control board.
This error code can sometimes be caused by a glitch or power surge through the electrical lines.
You may be able to clear this code by unplugging the washer for 5 minutes.
If the code returns after plugging the washer back in, then the electronic machine control board will need to be replaced.

The procedure for accessing and replacing this control board is shown in this image...

http://media.fotki.com/1_p,wkwdftgtbkdgfrwxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/ksrttqdqrxkssrqtgsd/1/1303472/5961857/image12917img-or.jpg

Be sure to unplug the washer before accessing internal components.
When you access the control board, I recommend transferring the wires from the old control board to the new replacement control board one connection at a time.
Once you have all of the wires transferred, remove the old control board and mount the new control board in the washer.
Reassemble and test the washer.

The "F01" error code indicates a communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the EEPROM onboard the CCU.
The "F01" can also be displayed if the onboard "Pump Driver" fails to activate.
Generally in order to correct this failure will require replacing the CCU.
There is no way to test and verify if the control board has failed.
The technical data sheet basically states to replace the CCU.

Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
Using Audio System On-Board Diagnostics
The audio system has on-board diagnostic capabilities and is equipped to check for every component available in the system even if this specific vehicle is not equipped with all components. A Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set for the missing components. These DTCs can be ignored if the vehicle is not equipped with these components. The battery must be fully charged for proper audio system operation. The ignition switch must be in the RUN or ACC position. Turn the system on, tune in a strong AM station and verify good reception. After an AM station is checked, tune in a strong FM station. The system is now ready to enter the diagnostic mode. Diagnostic Mode:
NOTE: Battery must be fully charged for proper audio system operation and self-test.

Enter Diagnostics mode by pressing SEEK DOWN button first and then pre-set button 3. Hold both buttons for five seconds. This will suspend all normal radio functions, retain the previously selected frequency and display DIAG.
  1. NOTE: To perform diagnostics, press the appropriate buttons as instructed.

    SYSTEM CONFIGURATION SELF-TEST:
Press pre-set button 1. This will check for connection of all possible devices and log the diagnostic trouble codes for any device that does not respond. The display will flash SELF while gathering the diagnostic trouble codes, then stop flashing when complete. To exit System Configuration Self-test, press pre-set button 1 again. To retrieve diagnostic trouble codes, press the TUNE UP button. This will display the diagnostic trouble codes if any exist. Continued pressing of the TUNE UP button will display the next diagnostic trouble code. Record codes and refer to the following table. To exit the Retrieval Mode, press pre-set button 1.

My hp officejet j4580 says incompatible black ink cartridge

I've been in print cartridge hell since I bought a J4580.

I spent an hour on chat with HP customer service and was able to resolve the problem by partially resetting the printer. Here's how:
  • Make sure your print cartridges are installed.
  • Unplug the machine, wait 20 seconds
  • Press and hold the # and 3 keys
  • Plug the machine back in
  • You'll see a reset message on the machine, release the # and 3 keys
  • Follow the prompts to set the language and location
Cross your fingers, hopefully your printer will print now!

In the UK, to connect to the connection block of a fixed integrated oven in a Kitchen, you must be a Part P Registered electrician. Such an electrician will issue a Minor Works Certificate for this work on completion - otherwise they are not Registered!

Be aware that if the work is not done under Part P and a fire occurs, etc your insurance company are entitled to REFUSE to pay out for the damage including any consequential damage to neighbours property or for loss of life!!

The block has three terminals and the Live, Neutral and Earth are indicated by marks stamped on the metal back of the cooker (if a CE product).

L = Live and takes the Brown covered wire
N = Neutral and takes the Blue covered wire
52080c4.gifor E = Earth (CPC) and takes the green/yellow covered.

If the cable has an uncovered copper third wire or is coloured Red/Black it should be replaced from the connection accessory on the wall behind the cooker with a heat resistant 3-core Butyl cable of sufficient size to cope with the load of the oven.

If you let me know the rating of the oven (label on door) in amps or watts, I'll tell you what size of cable you need.
