My Palm Tungseng E3 is completely frozen in the "on" mode. I'm not able to turn it off, sync it, charge it, or go to any screen. I haven't sync my handheld in a very long time (8 months - YIKES!!). Is there any way that I could keep the current information on it and unfreeze my handheld. Thougths?

If the iPad is frozen and can't be restarted the normal way, press and hold the sleep/wake button and the home button together for at least 10 seconds. The red slider may appear and the screen may dim but don't release the 2 buttons until the apple logo appears. If this doesn't work, you will need to backup and restore the iPad.Upgrade to latest version of iTunes, then connect to computer and select it when it appears under devices. If you haven't done a sync do so now.Click summary tab and then restore. If you haven't done a backup you will be prompted to do so.This will backup all settings on iPad..Next click restore and if you have completed all steps, wait until iPad completes the restore and returns to home screen.
IN PREFERENCES GO TO PERSONAL/BUTTONS THEN AT THE BUTTON LOOK FOR HOTSYNC PRESS IT THEN ON CABLE CHANGE IT TO PHONE; IT MIGHT BE THE PHONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE HOTSYNC CABLE CONNECTION. well, this same problem happened to my phone after it got a bit wet. I think you should leave ur battery out for at least two hours, and then put it back in. it will turn on, and charge it im not sure if itll work for sure but my touch screen works fine and my keys work on and off but it still turns on and can be functional.
the reset button should be located on the back to the bottom right of the label. have a look at this link. http://www.palm.com/us/images/support/kb/articles/30113_z22.gif
Hi, from the sounds of your situation, im sorry to tell you that your address book is gone. If you have hotsync with your desktop before, you may be able to retrieve a copy of your address book from your last sync. Otherwise there are companies available to recover data from pdas but their services are very expensive.
I had the same issue. What you need to do is to hold the power on/off button than press the reset button. The screen turns off (get black) than the will ask you to make a hard reset (which end up deleting all datas). The Palm will power on like the first time you turned it on after you bought it. Than depending which version you have it will possible ask you which language you will like to have as default. After selecting you neet to setup the rest. If this is done you sync it all data will come back :-)
