My LFX25960st LG stainless refrigerator ice maker isn't working, it'll make a few ice cubes every couple of days and now on the touchpad it says ER IF and i can't touch anything, how can i fix my problem?

Remove the fresh water hose coming into your refrigerator and check the water flow with a small bucket. This actually sounds like a replace water filter error. Some IF error codes break down to Inline Filter.

Sound like it is the dual water control only. Try filling ice maker with tap water and then let freeze. If after the ice in the ice maker dumps the cubes into the ice container and does not refill I would think the water control valve is at fault. I see your model had three different choices of water control valves and listed on this page=> Here and in right sidebar about 1/3rd down the page you will see three different water control valves. its the ice maker .water or condensation has built up in the ice maker modual and refroze upon turning unit back on.either get a new ice maker or uninstall the ice maker and let it dry for a few days and reinstall.but it could happen again that way.or maybe not.
Does your unit have the cube size selection button inside of the ice maker door , if so is it lit up, if so is it on a cube selection. If not that is the reason the ice maker is not working because even though the unit is on the cube selection has not been made. This should solve your problem.
Open the left door open the ice maker door, up in the left hand corner you should see a green light, check to make sure that you have a selection chosen(either small of large cubes.
Unplug the ice maker from the fridge. You will see the plug by following the wired coming from the ice maker. Leave it sit for 20 mins. Plug it back in and hold the green ice cube size button in and watch for the ejector fingers begin to move. If they move they will go around to about 11 o'clock or so and the water should come on filling the tray. If any of these things don't happen, you have a bad ice maker.
it means that the motor fan inside freezer the sends air to the ice maker is not communicating with mother board you have no ice right then you need either the motor fan or main board if you dont know howto trouble shoot you need a tech to come out
