Question about Frigidaire Ovens

Open Question

I HAVE an old Frigidaire Electric Range Mod RS 30-32EM 29172 on the oval tag. I can not find parts reference. I am only looking for a couple of things now. One is an oven rack. it is 22 7/8" x 15 3/4". I see a newer rack which is 16 1/8" which is too big, I think. the oven door may not close. I'm also looking for a heat control rheostat, dial for the rt front burner. I am having a tough time locating. Thanks

SOURCE: lighting an old Frigidaire gas oven

Sounds as though the pilot light in your oven went out. On the inside of the oven there should be a small hole about the size of a 50cent piece on the floor of the oven. Turn on the gas for the oven, light a matchstick or rolled up piece of paper, stick it into that hole and it should light, monitor the oven for 30 seconds to see if it starts to heat. SAFETY 1st!

Okay,
1, check your power, locate your breaker for the range. turn the breaker off and turn it back on.
Your Range it is electronic control on the Oven but not the Stove Top heating elements.
After you reset the breaker and it still not work.
Please let me know more about the unit.

Oven elements not working

Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for your inquiry!

I see that you are having trouble with both your bake and broil element on your Frigidaire range. Can you think about what may have happened prior to this occurrence? For instance, did you notice any error codes or strange noises? Also, do you have an electric or gas range? May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storage drawer, on the right side. With this information I can assist you better in pinpointing the problem. Thank you! -Z

What is the input - 120v or 240v?

Hello Seth Kwao - If you are referring to a gas range it is recommended to use a receptacle of 120v and a receptacle of 220v for an electric range.

How i take the top off

Hello,
to remove the top to access the surface burners their should ba couple screws in between the lower part of the cooktop and the upper part of the oven door. by opening the oven door and looking up at the bottom of the cooktop you should see those screws.

BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THOSE SCREWS BE SURE TO DISCONNECT POWER TO THE RANGE

I need a oven temp probe for mdl fgf352sbwa . the probe body is 10" long . Anywhere I search I only see reference to 3" and 6" long probes. Any Ideas.

The temperature probe you are looking for is actually part of the thermostat and not available seperately. Part number is 316028600. Search this number on ebay for considerably better prices.

My oven when turned on goes to F1 and the heat is like broil...only the top burner comes on????

Hello,Please use the chart to determine which stove you have. You will have to look at the model number. The first 3 numbers will be the series on the chart. In most cases an F1 error would require replacement of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes – 362 Series (General Electric)
F1 = Stuck Touch Pad Key - Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 911 Series (General Electric/Roper)
F0-F1-FF = Failed transistor in Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE Range/Stove/Oven Fault Codes- 665 Series (Whirlpool)
F1-E0 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E1 EPROM Error - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E2 U/L ERC Errors - Electronic Range Control (ERC).
F1-E3 Fuel Type Fail

Kill power 30 seconds-Cancel-Start/Enter-5 seconds-Should see “E” for electric-
“9” for gas-If code changes again-replace Electronic Range Control (ERC).

KENMORE - 790 Series Electronic Oven Control (Frigidaire)
F1 = Shorted Touch Pad = Electronic Range Control (EOC) Internal check sum error.
Runaway Temp = Replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Kill power 30 seconds - if error returns - replace Electronic Oven Control (EOC).

Thanks

Frigidaire oven overheating

I would say that the oven thermostat is malfunctioning, and you will probably need a new one fitting.
Make sure the sensor inside the oven has not become detached, as this will make a differance.
Plz leave feedback.
