I have gone to the recommended site (http://dysonmanuals.llc.nu/) for the manual to see how to change out the Clutch on my DC14 but when I go to that site a 2ip.com page appears which is a website building page. Does anyone have a good address for the Dyson DC14 repair manual.

    Thanks

    Ronnie

The link still does not work. Do you have a good link for the manual for the DC-14?

THere is nothing else to replace. I have the same issue with mine. Does it say in the book how to get the clutch out so I can replace the belts. It lloks like there is some trick to remove the knob that goes between the clutch unit and exterior of the unit. I don't want to break mine. Any thoughts

Motor does not switch to carpet

You need the clutch replaced. All Dyson DC-7 and DC-14 machines need to be serviced annually and have the clutch replaced if you want it to perform properly. Take it to your local vacuum repair shop to have it serviced. The good news for you is, most of the newer Dysons only last a couple of years and are disposable. Yours is repairable.

Dc7 animal roller won't spin

Not sure if it's a DC28 or DC07. If you are having trouble with the brush roll on your DC28 take it to a Dyson service center. If it is a DC07 check for obstructions in the brush roll. If none there check the belt or the clutch assembly depending on if you have a clutch or not on your model.

Need to change a belt on a Dyson animal 14

Hello,
This is a very DIFFICULT endeavor that is better left to a vacuum shop if your Dyson has a clutch system. Chances are, you'll have to have the clutch replaced.

The handle remains in the upight position

Spray some sillicone spray or furniture polish spray at the bottom where the handle adjuster slider can be seen by tipping the cleaner forward. Its usually a plastic bar that should slide. It can become dirty over time or just need lubrication.

Dyson DC14 Animal belt clutch slips.

The clutch problem needs to be looked at by a serviceman or professional who can repair Dysons. Slipping belts are often a sign of being overused or with carpet/textures that have caused the beater bar extra tension. I suggest if this model means much to you to get it repaired.

Dyson Refuses to Honor Warranty

Hi. I have been repairing Dyson machines since they first came out. DO NOT PAY FOR A NEW CLUTCH. I can assure you that both clutch belts can be replaced. Its A tricky job & can take some time to do. Its more cost effective for a shop to fit a new clutch at your expense $150 Clutch Belts are readily available in the UK you can purchase belts from numerouse sites for approx $10 postage to states $3 to $5 saving you a small fortune. If you want to know how to fit the 2 belts I can sell you A manual for approx $11 Or contact me at [email protected] for more information.
