Question about Samsung RS2630SH Side by Side Refrigerator
My samsung side by side is almost a year old. It was working great untill the fridge side quit cooling. It stayed at about 60 the frezzer was -10. Three weeks later the freezer quit cooling. I took the panal off the inside of the frezzer and found everything all frozen. I noticed that the fan wasn't working. When I unpluged it and pluged it back in the fan looked like it tried to start but didn't.
My question is could the fan be the problem or might it be something else?
MINE sAMSUNG DOESNT KEEP COLD THE FREEZER SIDE IS COLD BUT NOT TOTALLY FROZEN I DID SEE THE BACK WALL ICED UP. IT ALSO DOES'NT MAKE SOUNDS WHEN DOORS ARE OPEN. I REPLACED A FAN ON FREEZER SIDE BUT ITS STILL NOT WORKING. ITS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. HELP

You have an automatic defrost problem. The refrigerator is not defrosting
Three important parts. It probably is one of these.
The fan is probably fine, but has nothing to do with Defrost
Check the heater continuity and change the heater defrost thermostat
then replace timer if those don't solve it.

SOURCE: loud noise from the freezer side
The problem is a buildup of ice on the plastic housing (the curved plastic bit) in the back of the freezer under the fixed shelf where the icetub goes. The fan behind this plastic housing is hitting the ice when the defrost comes on.
Unplug the fridge, unpack the freezer, remove the four screws in the back, take off the sheetmetal backing and let the fridge thaw. You can remove the plastic piece after a while and get the ice off (be careful not to remove the styrofoam insulation by going too quickly).
Reassemble and you're back in business, for a few months. I'm never buying Samsung again myself.

it sounds like the refrigerator evap is frozen up causing the compartment to get too hot. shut the unit off and let it thaw out. then take the screws out of the cover to check the stryrofoam on the back side of the cover to see if theres broken spots on it causing the air to bypass the evap causing it to freeze. Theres two screws behind the light cover and two at the very bottom of the cover and two behind the decorative plugs about 1/2 way
