Ok its a little bit of a long method but it can be done.

Step 1. Connect your PSP to your computer using a USB cable.

Step 2. Goto Settings and find the setting thats says "USB Connection"

Step 3. Your PSP will now connect to your computer. Now on your computer goto Start -> Computer. Your PSP will probably be listed as E:

Step 4. Double click on your PSP drive (probably E:)

Step 5. If you are using Vista click Organize from the menu bar of the drive windows that opens and then click New Folder. If you are using XP just right click in the drive window and select new folder.

Step 6. A little box with the folder name "New Folder" will appear highlighted in blue. Call the folder "Music"

Step 7. Next all you need to do is drag and drop your music files (which mjust be MP3) into this music folder from your computer.

Step 8. When you are done press "O" on the PSP and it will end the USB connection.

Step 9. Goto the Music option on your PSP and scroll down to memory stick and then into your music folder. All your music should now be there.

Hope this helps

I want to download music from my computer to my PSP handheld

well all you need to do is connect your psp to the computer and put the music int your music folder. NOTE: the psp can only read from one folder in so you can't put a music folder into a music folder and then put it into the psp music folder. ex: psp > music > u2 > vertigo > Song = can't read; psp > music > u2 > song = can read.

I up load it music 0n my psp,but ti says no tracks

You need to make sure the music your putting onto the PSP is in MP3 format. Other then that here is the steps to make sure your uploading the music properly:

To get everything working, plug the Sony PSP into the Windows PC via USB cable, plug the PSP into the wall, then turn both units on. On the PSP, click the "USB Connection" button (on the Settings menu) and, hopefully, your PC will beep and tell you that it's found a new "removable disk": your PSP.

Using Windows Explorer, find the new PSP device and if there isn't already a folder named MUSIC then create it and drop in MP3 format music files

Then at this point you should be able to access the music on your psp.

How to put music on psp with out an memory stick

The PSP has NO internal memory to store music. When you transfer music to a PSP, you are storing it on the memory stick. When you go to the MUSIC section of the PSP menu, it checks the memory stick to see what music is on it.

There is no way to put music on a PSP without a memory stick.

I DONT KNOW HOW TO DOWNLOAD MUSIC TO MY PSP

If you already have them music files (*.mp3 are best, some others will also work) then simply connect your PSP to your Computer, and in Windows Explorer when it appears go the folder X:\PSP\MUSIC, where X is the drive letter of your MS. If the folder's not there, create it. Then, put all your Music Files in there and they will appear on the PSP. You can create folders inside the Music folder, but only down to two levels, or you won't be able to see the music on your PSP. IF you don't have the files, you can get them from any number of places on the internet, and repeat the above steps. If you are downloading them direct to your PSP, from the PSP's Internet Browser, change the destination folder from PSP\COMMON to PSP\MUSIC, if it hasn't already done that for you.
