Restart your computer have a close look at the screen it will be quick you will see which key to press to enter bios
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key this will vary depending on your computer and operating system Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaultsor load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart hope this helps
enter bios by pressing either f12 or f2 or whatever key it says to press to enter setup. once the bios screen loads find boot device priority. change it accordingly, press whatever key you need to press to save changes and reboot
Insignia is a Best Buy proprietary brand. In order to get you to spend money at the geek squad, they keep this information pretty secret. Hit "F1" during POST. That should do it. It works on most Insignia models. If not, you should call best buy and ask them about your specific model.
Factory restore requires the OEM restore DVD disk.
First boot the PC and press F2 during boot to enter BIOS. Change BIOS settings to factory default, to make sure the boot device sequence and all other settings are as they should be. Then insert the Restore DVD into the DVD-rom drive and save & exit BIOS settings. It should then reboot and load from the restore disk.
Go into the BIOS (press F2 during boot) , change the boot order - put the cd first and save the change, put the restore disk in the dvd, reboot, wait for the disk to launch and follow the instructions on the screen.
Try resetting the BIOS. To access the BIOS press the F2 key at VAIO logo.
Then, on the BIOS Setup screen, press the F9 key followed by the Enter key to reset the BIOS to default values and then press the F10 key to Save and Exit from the BIOS screen.
It sounds like the BIOS may have 'forgotten' your primary drive settings or the drive is dead :-(
Possipbly it has come loose and needs reseating.
Press F2 should get you into the BIOS and then get it to autodetect the primary drive.
Let me know if this helps.

Sounds like you want to start a fresh install from your CD/DVD?
as soon as you turn on the computer, hit the del key to get into the BIOS (or pay attention during POST as it'll tell you what key to push)
Once in there, you'll want to goto the "boot options" tab and set the CD/DVD-ROM to start up first and then the hard drive.
Press Esc and save, as it starts up, it should say "hit any key to install windows" and then it's just a matter of following instructions to finish.
If all you are trying to do is a system restore, you can goto:
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore
and then restore it to a earlier time.
