Hello,
I have installed new version of Windows XP and install all other drivers like VGA, LAN etc. All are working fine.
But when I install Audio driver from original mother board CD, it install successfully and ask for Restart. I select RESTART option and click ok. System restarts but it never shows me the "Speaker" icon on Taskbar. My sound is working fine with older Windows version.
Please advise me a best solution. Your cooperation will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,

Go to Start - My Computer, right click on it - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager and in there check that the sound device is correctly identified and loaded (no yellow triangles with ? in them). Then go to Start - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio devices and make sure it's correctly configured and the volume icon option is ticked - untick, save and tick it again to be sure.
Update ur sound driver and go to control penal and chek the setting and in audio devices there was a option show icon on taskbar or starrtup and use reginout to fix ur problem if it is not sloved as i tell u
Go to the 'Control panel' and click the sound-button. You should be able to see a clickable box with something in the lines of; Display volume in the system tray.
I hope that helps.
Try installing the XP version of the device drivers.
You can download the drivers from ASUS WEB site. Select your model motherboard/computer/laptop, and make sure you select the Windows XP version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system. Click on this link: -

Click on Start->settings->control panel->and then choose sound and audio devices.you will see a option of placing a volume icon under taskbar
check that mark and you will get your speaker icon there
