How do you enable the lazer pointer on the handset of the keyspan tsam -001? It's the remote for a projector

Take a closer look at the pins on the remote cable and the socket on the projector. Their are 5 pins on the plug. The top 2 pins are closer together than the bottom 2 pins. It is easy to rotate the plug 180 degrees and with little extra pressure, push it in. If the pin / plug interface is rotated 180 degrees, the remote control will appear non-functional. Check that first. Then try plugging the remote into the projector without the extension to eliminate a broken wire in the extension cord. Verify that the on-board cycle buttons will cycle the projector. If they do, and the projector won't work with the remote control, then there may be a open circuit inside the projector. You may need a factory-trained technician to help you with this one!! Good Luck !! Jim

Remote's battery (type CR2450)

No battery required for the USB part, only the pointer

Hold the triangular button down until the green light comes on.

replace the batteries, check the ir with a digital camera or camera phone (it will look like a blinking white light), then open up the remote and check the contacts. worse comes to worse, replace it.

Press and hold the two buttons (small pink and clear pie shaped) for 4 seconds. the lower button will flash red once every three seconds to show laser pointer enabled. Laser pointer turns itself off after 10 minutes on non-use.

return the projector (still under warranty, if bought new). if it's used, reset the settings on the projector to factory default. if still nothing, replace the remore.

clean it out. alot of times dust will block the sensors.
