Check the contactor contacts for pitting. if severly pitted, replace contactor. If a death grip on the switch makes it work better then a light touch- replace the trigger switch.

check first the pilot arc, if air pressure is there or not.next check solanoid valve working or not

Is the compressed air pressure in the limits for the unit to work. try turning the pressure up.

Possible failure of the trigger switch and or the cable back to the unit. Use an ophmmeter to check that the trigger and cable are good,

Then with the ohmmeter check the continuityu of the cable to the electrodes,

Connectors are always suspect.

These are starting ponts to check.

sounds like a boad problem or a relay playing up.

did you put all new consumables in ,sounds like there is still old one there.make sure nozzel is put back together right.I have worked on welders and plasmas for years,the torch head is very tempermental.

This is relative to 3 causes , contol board , pwm board or torch

in order to cut the thicker steel just boost the air pressure this will allow you to thourghly blow through the steel. just remember not to turn it up too much. this should do the trick. please rate
