Olympus FE-210 I dropped my Olympus FE-210 when it was on and the lens was out. Now, the camera still workes fine, but the lens will not close all the way. After I shut it off, it opens and closes as if trying to fix itslef, but tops after three tries. The zoom still works, but it makes a clicking noise as the lens adjusts. I wouldn't mind any of this, except that now I can't upload my pictures. Normally, when I hook up the USB, a screen comes up on the camera dispaying my options. Now when I hook it up, the camera just shuts down. I think the screen won't come up because the lens isn't closing. Is there any other way I can upload my pictures, or I can fix the lens?

Thank-you very much for your suggestion. I went out and bought a card reader, and now I have no problem uploading. I don't even have to buy a new camera!

Hey dramaqueen79,
It sounds like you have internal damage to the camera. I would have it looked at be an authorized service center. If you are fine with the performance of the camera and all you want to do is be able to upload your images you could purchase a card reader(for an xd memory card) that connects to a usb port, and upload your images directly to your computer with the card reader.

Sincerely,
Allan

Focus problem olympus fe 34o

Not focusing at every distance - close to far ?? That seems like a lens problem to me and how the lens is focused, once its fully extended, varies between camera brands. .
Have you dropped this camera or knocked the lens when it has been open ?? Or have you dropped it at the beach and got sand or grit in the lens ??. If it is a lens problem it will have to go back to the service agent for repairs - ther is nothing you can adjust inside unless you are a camera technician

Olympus FE-210 lens does not come out

Hey memiche,
You could try resetting the camera to the default factory settings, and directions on how to do this are on page 20 of your camera manual. If this doesn't work then there is either something obstructing the movement of the lens (i.e. sand), or damage to the lens mechanism. If it is something obstructing the movement of the lens you could try blowing compressed air into the side of the lens to try and dislodge whatever is in there. If that doesn't fix the problem you could try putting the camera on a flat surface with the lens pointing up and holding in the shutter button, and while doing that turn the camera on. If none of this works I would have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual in case you need it. I hope this helps!

Broken Lcd panel

Broken LCD screen is quite easy to replace on the FE-170 and FE-210. I have purchased cameras with bad lens but good LCDs on ebay pretty cheaply( compared to having Olympus repair camera).
