Dell W2606C 26" LCD - seems to have lost horizontal hold?

Channels (cable input) now show in b/w only, and the image is badly twisted horizontally, plus I can see the normally hidden bar at top/bottom. Reminds me of old TV's with horizontal hold shot.

Same thing with Svideo input from a DVD. In both cases, sound is fine.

The Dell TV menus display just perfectly though. They are NOT twisted, and they are in color. I have done "factory resets" and physically unplugged it, but no change.

Way out of warranty, so any help appreciated. I presume there is no more hidden knob to adjust this.

Thanks.
John

My Dell LCD Model W2606C will not process a cable TV signal suddenly. All else seems normal. Any idea what could cause that to happen.

Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. If your tv cant process a TV signal most likely you are on the wrong input. We can check if the input that has been set to the LCD is correct. Can you please provide if the LCD is connected to a cable box and what cable is connect from the box to the LCD.
Thanks

Intermittent double images and horizontal lines

Hello mucci2k,
You have one of two problem.
(1) You have a loose connection on your LDS cable going from your signal board to your T-Con board. The T-Con board s the board that is mounted directly to the panel. Its sits near the top of the panel in the middle.

(2) You have a bad T-con board. This board cannot be repaired. It must be replaced. I can tell you where you can find it

Best regards
