Problems with HP JBL Platinum Computer Speakers

I have JBL platinum computer speakers from an old Presario I had. I ear the sound perfectly from the speakers to ear anykind of sound from PC (music, video, etc) BUT if I plug headphones directly to the speakers appropriate plug NO sound comes out from the headphones... if I plug the headphones directly to the PC jacket (rtaking off the one from the speakers) it WORKS. I have checked software (realtek) , tested changing set ups, bla bla, ans the SAME result. Hardware problem (sound card? what?) My PC is new and works properly as I said. Thanks JR

Yes you're right. It's a input not a output jack. I discovered it some time ago. The problem is the symbol on it seems like an headphone...

Where can i find my platinum jbl series speakers driver? my monitor is compaq v7550..thx a lot if u able to help me..

> where can I find ...

Nowhere -- speakers are electro-mechanical devices -- accept electrical power and move the speaker-cone, to create air-waves which your ear interprets as sounds.

They are not electronic devices that require software and device-drivers to make them work.

I had a complete system crash; located all my cd's except my driver for my JBL Platinum Series speakers. Can you help me find a driver? I purchased with my HP Computer sometime in 2004, I believe. Thanks...

ok if these are the speakers im thinking of (have seen them on a pold HP pavilon computer, attached to the monitor) , than the speakers themselfs do not need drivers, as long as you have the sound card drivers your good to go

Speakers not working

I have the same problem with pluggng speakers into dell computer. I see on the dell there is no provision to get power to the speakers as there was on the presario. There is a power (12V) wire that does not have a place to go into on the dell.
