I have a dvdvr375 that needs factory reset. How?

I have a samsung dvdvr375 that needs factory reset. It has the tv/vcr/dvd mode reminder stuck on the screen. I called samsung and they told me to press the up and down buttons on the unit simultaneously and it would go to factory reset. The unit itself doesnt have these buttons. Checked manual picture and no such buttons. Tried pressing these on the remote and did nothing.

Press Program up+down button (on machine panel right corner) simultaneously about 5-10 sec - then you get factory settings back + many info lines about reseting (many lines different versions etc...)

Try unplug,replug the unit back an hour later,should have everythings,reset to Factory setting.If no,electronic component's parts burn in ur device.

Hello
Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and replug into after 5 minutes or so. This should reset the set to its factory settings. If it does not help you, just take out the disc inside, and insert an other one. See whether it reads it or not. If not, the set need service. Especially service to its DVD mechanical side. OK.

You need to reset the tv to factory mode by pressing a code with the tv off,,,, mute--182--power and wait to see the menu appears on screen chose *reset to factory* press ok and wait until process done, them turn it on .

The tv is stuck on channel 3 and i want to change the channel and i have no remote. How do i do it? I have a magnavox tv dvd/vcr vcr recorder model 20mc4304/17

This is hard but understandable. If you cannot change it on the frount of the unit with the channel up and down buttons then you may have to get a universal remote there is no solution or quick fix or any type of factory reset unless you had the remote to get into the menu. good luck

Try a reset to this set, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Parental password set by my kids no one fessed up how do I reset it?

From a cold start with no disc in unit, press the / button simultaneously on the front panel for 5 seconds.
All settings including the password will revert to the factory settings.
Don't use this unless absolutely necessary.

it sounds like you need to get a universal remote that has an av setting on it usuall this is 0 or an av button this shoud toggle between these modes sorry couldnt be any more help

I had the same problem when I got the TV from someone and I didnt have a remote. I went out and got a ONE FOR ALL remote and once I got it set up I had it in VCR mode and hit the AV button and now I can get to the channels. Hope it works for you.

Stuck in Progressive Scan Mode??? Remove the disc(s) from the changer, make sure TV is on Blue Screen...should say "Progressive Scan Mode".......Simply press and hold the stop button for 5-10 seconds and it will reset.

Can not get either DVD or VHS to open!! Everything worked prior to moving to Houston. I unbox set up andPower comes onit saids it is dvd or VCR I've selected is OPEN but neither do. I have unplug replug..and have plug it into wall plug only...Still does same will NOT OPEN TO Load a DVD or a VHS.
