There could be a few potential causes for this issue with your Haier Encore dryer.
The first thing to check is whether the dryer is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker has not tripped.
If the dryer is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is fine, there may be an issue with the door switch. The door switch is a safety feature that prevents the dryer from turning on if the door is open. Make sure the door is closed securely and check that the switch is not stuck in the open position.
Another potential issue could be with the control board, which is responsible for controlling the functions of the dryer. If the control board is malfunctioning, it may prevent the dryer from turning on even if all other components are working properly.
If none of these solutions resolve the problem, it is best to contact Haier customer service for further assistance. The dryer is less than 8 months old and should be covered under warranty. It's also possible that the problem is caused by a faulty part that needs to be replaced. Request for a senior technician or supervisor to take a look at it and provide a resolution.

From previous experience, I would bet that the circuit board/ control panel is failing. The one I had leaked steam near the top of the unit and the condensation will work it's way into the top control panel. Bad design on Haier's part. The worst part about mine was there is no adjustment for the door. I ended up getting a refund on the unit and buying a very nice LG model. Good luck dealing with Haier. They will send A&E factory Service out and they are not very good. I would suggest getting rid of the Haier. (personal opinion)
Have you started the suit yet? Place my name on the list. I have also had mutipule problems with thier customer service.

too bought a Haier Plasma 42EP24S ,it stopped working after 7 months -I moved and did not touch it for the next five months while searching for another tv to replace it- I came apon this site . the tv was out of warrenty by both sears and haeir well after reading these posts I called haier america and complained they in turn extended my warrenty and a sears rep came on 5 differant times and replaced all the boards inside tv with no luck - so after putting in over $1400.00 in parts an repair into a $1200.00 tv they wanted to start replacing boards again I refused and kept complaining to several differant reps at sears [they told me it was haeirs responsabilty not thiers] I don't know haw many times I explained to them that sears sold me the tv not haeir so stand behind what you sell -well after alot of calls and persistance sears replaced my tv free of charge with credt for a new tv for exactly what I paid SO DONT BUY ANY PARTS OR PAY FOR ANY SERVICE IF YOU BOUGHT THIS TV AND ARE HAVING PLOBLEMS be persistant untill its either fixed or replaced
Mine did the same thing, I called Haier and reprted the problem. there is some kind of kit to remedy the problem where 3 boards are replaced. The repair performed by Sears service center was in home and cost me nothing for parts or a sevice call. Sadly now the monitor is working agin but with some interference of some kind. I called Sears service and they are coming back.
