did you delete all of your sent text messages too? if not do that turn off phone turn back on and try texting yourself

If you have deleted the sms from your phone memory and not from the SIM card u can copy the sms from SIM . If you deleted the messages from SIM itself here are the some of the tools that may help you.

You are doing right. start Messaging -> Sent Box. Select the msgs that you do not want and from Options select Delete. Thats all you have to do . Or if you dont like any of the msgs, Select all and Delete All.

Ok, how about if you open the messege and either, you just press talk and it will dial the number automatically or just open the messege and go to options and hit reply. you will be able to contact the sender with no problem because text messages are always sent by a mobile # and the number cannot be set to private ever.

Click on messaging icon from main menu.
Click send message.
Instead of clicking text message click on pic/video message.
then you have 4 options TO: CONTACTS , TO Mobile#, To Email, And finally To Recent lict. Click on recent list and checkmark all the numbers you want deleted then click options bottom right corner then click delete.....

Go into a new text message and hit the "send to" option. Scroll down to the first name above the line and hit the "options" button. Scroll down and select "Recent messages" and choose whoever from that list that you'd like to be your top 3. I actually just sent all three of mine a blank text, but when I went back to the "send to" list voila! MORE INFO: I tried all kinds of things to remove names from my top three recipients list. What ended up working was to send a text to multiple recipients at once. Two was enough. But it was important who I selected first. I sent a message to my wife and my friend. My wife's name got added back to my top three! Then I reversed and sent a message to my friend and to my wife. His name got added back!

thank u so much for trying to help. I guess my message wasnt clear enough though. The phone is not storing my "messages", I'm not having a problem with that, I can clear them, no problem. Its the "recent log" under the "add recipients" that does not clear. The "recent log" stores all the numbers you ever text messaged to. I want to clear the #'s that I've text messaged to, not regular calls, thats easy to clear. For some reason this phone stores all the #'s that you text to. If you can figure it out, i'll give u a million dollars!!! just joking of course.
