Question about Canon PowerShot SD400 / IXUS 50 Digital Camera
My digital camera only works sporadically, the screen is dark and i cannot see the 'image'. occassionally if i return it to factory settings, it functions normally for awhile but eventually the screen goes dark again but flickers as though light is attempting to get in. At the moment not even restoring the factory settings is working. I can see past images/photos clearly though, it's as though there is not enough light getting in Or something is broken?.
Do you own an SD400, or is it really an S400? The symptoms you're describing sound like a defective CCD imager. If your camera is an S400, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status.
