I have problem with my SAMSUNG WEP 170, it is not turning on.

Could you please help me in this, my new bluetooth head set SAMSUNG WEP 170 not turning on, even after I recharge it for around 5 hours.

Please suggest me what to do with it, Do you want me to return it and get a new piece or any other piece?

    I found the power button on top of the headset, is it the same button you are saying, or any other?

    I did not find the pairing button.

    i cant on my WEP 170 too. i tried pressing and holding all the buttons for awhile but still it dont switch on.

I had a similar problem with my headset.
It turned out I was using the pairing button not the power button to try and turn on.
Check the manual make sure your using the correct button.

Alright, I was about to give up on my WEP170MBE also, but then I tried my last resort techniques of hitting/ throwing/ and shaking the headset. After this, the second wave of my desperation involved "charger f*cking" the device (shoving the charger in and out of the headset a few times). Sure enough, I got a blue light, and then a flashing blue after. Hope this helps..

You need to put the headset into pairing mode for the phone to be able to find it. There are some instructions on this page:

Soft, rubber like piece cover speaker on Samsung WEP170 Bluetooth
I bought a pair of Sony headphones for my MP3 player, they came with three sets of rubber covers for the bud part of the head phone.
I have the WEP 170 also but didn't like how it fit in my ear, so I took one of the Sony bud cusions and replaced it with the one on the WEP, works great and even helps to cancel out noise.

I found out that not all Samsung bluetooth phones are compatible with this WEP 170 Bluetooth handset. I called my carrier (AT & T) and they informed me that my mobile phone (also a Samsung SGH 700 series) might not work. I'd advise checking with your carrier to see if they can help clear up any problems.
