Will not plug and play to xp pc, had new usb cable and drivers disc but still will not find printer

If you are using a printer on a USB port, you must configure the PORT if XP won't find it. Run the Printer Setup Wizard as a printer connected to your PC. When windows xp doesn't find it, choose to CREATE A PORT, and choose to create a local port, and name it for the printer you want to install. Follow the prompts and you should be good to go.
