Only way to remove a BIOS password on any computer is to remove all power sources from the motherboard so its memory can be cleared.

First, remove the main battery from the laptop. Then you must locate and find the little coin cell battery (It looks like a watch battery) on the laptop and remove it for about a minute or so. Then you can replace them in the opposite order.

Unfortunately, some laptop coin cell batteries are difficult to locate, or require an in depth dissection of the laptop to get to them. Without the model of the laptop, I cannot tell you how to get to it.

Cannot connect to the internet. When I open the device manager, in the 'other device' drop down menu, Ethernet controller was missing. My laptop was Packard Bell easynot NJ65

Hi erolisgarrot,

Welcome to FixYa! How are you doing?

You did not specify the operating system on your Packard Bell easynot NJ65 (whether Windows Vista or Windows 7).

Anyways, PLEASE CLICK HERE to find the Ethernet Controller driver.

Please select Notebook > Easynote > EN NJ65 > select the appropriate Operating System then look for Lan.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you for using FixYa!

Packardbell easynote

First makes sure to dry the keyboard well somehow and try it after that. Turn the laptop upside down and try to let it dry.

If that does not work after it has dried well I think you need to replace your keyboard.

Meanwhile you can connect an external keyboard.

I hope that helps. I do not think you can do more.
