I have a dell desktop with a e153fpb monitor ... it was working fine then all of a sudden something happened and the screen got very dark it looks like it is not on but it is if u get really close u can see it is on but anyother way it is so dark it looks like it is turned off i tryed to fix the contrast and brightness of the monitor but it is not helpin much.... how can i fix the screen so i can see it

Try resetting the monitor to default settings by getting your manual out. It will guide you through the process. If that does'nt work then check for any updated drivers.
