Horizontal stripes interfere with picture OS X 10.5,8 Mac G5 2.o GHz

Go to your Mail program, then in the top left corner, click on "Mail" then "Preferences" that will bring up your email accounts. Check the settings there to make sure everything is correct.

The manual on page 122 says:
Vertical streaks appear when you are shooting a very bright subject. Cause / Solution : The smear phenomenon is occurring. This phenomenon is not a malfunction.
So when you are photographing in bad light, and some where in the frame is a bright light, from that light, white vertical strips can occur.
But you mention Horizontal lines. If this happens in normal light, outside, or in every light condition, something else must be wrong.
I wonder if bringing a 10 year old camera to a repair store or Sony service centre is worth doing.

You must uninstall "12" then install "10"

Bad video graphics chip on logic board. Probably made by Nvidia. Repair logic board or replace the logic board.

Apple has a list of specs to run it. Looks like yours falls within it. Although some things will need other requirements like a webcam for photobooth or ichat. But you should be able to get by. Might be a bit slower than some Macs running it, but as long as you don't have 20 things going on at once, you should be fine. Go to an Apple store and try it out first though to make sure you like it.
