You can go to the repair shop for fix it. Since this unit can be defective by IC, ROM or RAM. or audio circuit+power supply or defective solder.

We have a Toshiba Model 37LX96 LCD/DVD Combo Can't turn on, after a recent power outage There is power going to the unit, but it will not turn on using the remote or using the "power"...

Common problem with the main board. Only happens after losing main power, not just turning the TV off.
I found that blowing hot air with a heat gun down the vents above the DVD player (don't melt the plastic housing) will warm the main board up enough to get the TV powered up again.
You'll be good to go until the next power outage then back to the heat gun.
Also the spec sheet indicates max humidity at 80% so keep the TV in a space with lower humidity.
The Toshiba 37LX96 is a quality TV, not a throw away if you can keep it running.

Convergence problem

This is a convergence problem that is not likely to be caused by anyone hitting the TV. Since striking the set appeared to "fix" it, it suggests that the problem is a connection one rather than a failure of an electronic part. If you can solder, you should be able to repair this yourself. First try resolcdering the pins on the convergence ICs. These are large black ICs attached to a heatsink. They should be marked STKxxx. If the resoldering does not resolve the problem, replace the ICs with new ones.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Channel keeps changing

It sounds like a stuck button or switch. What happens when you hit the channel DOWN, does it still keep scrolling down?
Is this with or without the remote?
Have you tried it with the remote and or the TV?

Let me know whether you are changing the channels with the remote or the buttons on the tv and I can try to give you a couple more suggestions.
