Amp quit producing output, power indicator is on

I have an older punch 360a amp -- it quit producing sound, the power indicator is on, I checked speaker connections and still no sound -- nothing changed anywhere else in the system -- would this be a fuse or some other problem? It is mated to a JL audio 12" running in bridged mode.

I have this problem too, checked sub with a battery both voice coils are good. I discovered that when my rcas are connected at one end they don't make any output when I touch the opposite ends together. I don't know what it could mean...maybe nothing?

It can't be a fuse cause if it was then there would be no power you might have blown the speaker terminals. did you check to see if the sub was blown.

No sound from either channel

Since it is a PA amp

• Check first if input signals are getting through the amp.

• Check if all the outputs are properly connected.

If you have already done, checking..

• Check for shorted power transistors, and extract in pairs.

If it powers up, without protect..

• Check again for possible additional components before replacing

the bad ones.

A good amp never produce an over of 0.7V on its output.

What is the watts on my rockford punch 360

Hello
Punch 360 can be wired as Mono and Stereo. Actually it it a 2 channes stereo amp, wirable to Mono too. When wired as Mono, the output power will be 450Watts. When wired as stereo, the outputs will be 210Watts/Channel. OK.

My punch 250 a2 powers up but no sound is produced only static if i wiggle the speaker wire

um sounds like there is no sound input, if you are running rcas ensure they are plugged in and the radio and headunit, and check for a cut in the cable, this is very unusual not to have any power output at all, triple check your headunit outputs, and your amplifier inputs, make sure you arent crossed anywhere. hope this helps

Dear Sir, I hav dell vostro 1015 laptop with windows Xp Operating system. I have purchased 4.1 subwoofer system. When i am connecting subwoofer to pc audio output & all 4 speakers to back of...

Recheck your wiring and instructions. If your woofer is self powered perhaps the amp is no good. Actually it better have amps since the laptop output will not power those speakers.

Rockford Fosgate Punch P325.1 Amp keeps blowing fuses every time I start the car. What is going on?

well if the amp works with the car off and when you start it the fuse blows then you may have alternator issues use a volt meter to check battery voltage is not above 14.5 volts
if the fuse blows when the amp turns on then most likely you have a shorted output section in the amp.

Not producing sound

It sounds like the power supply may have failed. I'm not familiar with that particular Boss amp but many amplifiers will light the power indicator even though the amp isn't operating.

Have you checked your speakers to see if they're blown?

Have you checked the wiring to make sure the speakers are still connected to the amp?

California 3600 mosfet discrete 3 ch amplifier 600 watts does not work

It sounds like it's going into protect. To be sure it's not the wiring, disconnect all speaker wires from it. If the light still goes out, check the DC voltage on the B+ and remote terminals. Place the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amplifier. If the voltage remains above 11 volts as the amp tries to power up, the output transistors are almost certainly shorted causing the amp to go into protect.

No sound output from amp.

It has bad parts. It should NOT be drawing 15amps at idle!! You need to grab a DMM and check the mosfets!!
