Dyson Animal, purple ball, no suction upright

I have a Dyson Animal, purple ball, bagless. My daughter was vacuuming for me the other day. She stopped to empty the bin and when she put it back on, the suction was gone. I can't find an issue. It's like a gasket is missing or something? The hose has suction, but no suction in the upright position. What am I missing?

Why does the suction stop after 10 minutes of use on my Dyson DC43?

Your vacuum may be overheating and shutting off the suction motor. Clean the cyclone assembly and the filters to see if they could be restricting the airflow.

I have a dyson animal (purple) "the ball" vacuum and now when I push the button to turn off the beater bar it turns off my vacuum. Help?

There is a linkage between the on/off and the beater bar switch that probably has came loose or is broken. It also could be wires shorting out.

Dyson won't go back into upright position to engage suction

The dyson.com website had a solution for this particular problem. Just press in a button in the area around the right wheel while lifting the rear of the vacuum up. This allows the base to roll forward enough to go back into the upright position. I did this and it worked. All fixed.
