I have a husqvarna viking emerald 116 and i am doing a basic stitch and my machine just started looping the bottom stitch. I will sew and every in or sew the bottom stitch will loop. I have tried changing the bobbin and adjusting tension. what could be the problem

If it's a mechanical machine, most likely the stitch width mechanism is frozen due to old oil. Apply a couple drops of liquid Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube to the stitch width mechanism and then direct hot air from a handheld hairdryer into the area. Repeat as needed until the mechanism moves freely.
Be sure and use the correct sewing foot...the machine is probably reading the foot and won't let you make adjustments. Also make sure the needle plate is the correct one.
