Repair Manual? I am trying to fix one of these printers that I was given. It looks like the power port is fried and I am going to replace it. But I am having some issues figuring out the proper order to take apart the printer to get to the system board so I can replace the port. I have been looking for a Repair manual that will show the correct way to disassemble the printer. But I have not been able to fine one. Does anyone know a link to a Repair Manual or a site that would list the correct order to disassemble the printer?

Hi, my printer is down no power coming in. But the transformer is hot.

Could it be the Power cord and something else.

There are no service or repair manuals for this POS. This is yet another one of the HP disposable line. If you can't find help here or on another help site, then junk it. Even if parts were available, it would most likely be cheaper to buy a new printer anyhow.

See if printer will work in another working computer. If it does the issue is with your computer hardware/software. If it also does not work then the issue is with the printer. And if so, it is not cost effective to repair given the price of printers these days.

A power surge fried my Epson Home Lite projector HDMI port......how much does it cost to repair or is it pretty easy to buy the part & fix yourself?

I have lost many things to power surges; sometimes it's only the electric cord (can be replaced), sometimes it's the battery (for lap tops), sometimes it's the electrical socket itself (try plugging into a different one). Worst case scenario the whole thing is fried (not all power surges are equal) now that I have everything plugged into surge protectors I only see them fry (beats losing another computer) try plugging it in without the surge protector or extension cord (if you were using one).

Error B 200

1. Connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on the computer 2. Connect the USB interface cable 3. Delete the printer from CONTROL PANEL--> PRINTERS and then add it back again 4. Reset the printer (unplug and plug it back) or try the reset given in manual. 4. Try a different data cable 5. Reinstall the drivers from the disk that came with printer.
If issue won't be fixed, it may be a printhead issue. If your printer is under warranty canon will replace your printhead for free
Hope this help!

What is the cause of problem where my printer (HL 1440) prints with black smudges & streaks of ink on the paper.

sounds like a possible problem with possibly the drum or the transfer belt. trying a different toner cartridge may fix the problem but it may not. Most likely given the cost of repair, replacement may be your best option.
thank you,

My canon mp810 was fried in a brownout - any way to save it or is it a large, expensive door-stopper? It was working perfectly before, and I think therefore the power issue is the problem.

Hello.

From FixYa:

It's possible that a replacement power board would fix the printer. Open the printer and get to the power board. Check the fuse on the board. If it's OK, then you need to change the board.

Hope this helps.

After lightning struck in my backyard, printer won't turn on.

HI, this was an unfortunate surge that has fried the power board Assembly in this unit. it has also fried the main control. this may be a total loss unless, you are considering replacing the entire mother board and power assembly as well.

Replacing the main control board and power board will restore proper function.

After one print, it goes Offline

Turn off the SNMP option in the TCP/IP printer port Properties

Right-click the printer, select properties
Select port tab, highlight port, click Configure Port
UnCheck SNMP status Enabled.

This fix was given to me from Xerox Tech support.

Good luck
