Is the menu screen popping up or the display information? Are you connected to a cable box or satellite tv receiver box? If you are you must be connecting to the television with what is called a coaxial cable, coax for short. When using that one cable antenna as people call it (has a needle in the center and usually twists to the right to tighten onto the television) this happens. If you have a cable box or satellite tv receiver box it may have colored holes on the back of it (green, blue, red, yellow, white, red, etc.). If this is the case you would need to connect to the television with composite or component cables which can be gotten from the drugstore, big box store or electronics store. Then you would need to switch av inputs on the television itself to view your tv channels.

It is a Vimax TV and it is the menu screen that pops up. I can clear it by pressing the menu button on my remote. I am hooked into the HD cable box with the 3 color cable (red, blue and green) I even picked up a top of the line cable thinking it may help. Presently I can view my channels thru input labeled YPBPR1 should I be using the channel marked TV? Would this make a difference? And I have the Blu-ray connected up to YPBPR2.
