I want to format my laptop but dont know the way

Formatting a laptop is the same as doing it on a desktop computer.
If you are using the Windows installation CD then to get the laptop to boot up with the Windows CD you can change the BIOS boot startup device and make the CD the first boot device.

Buy a Compaq restore cd for your laptop on ebay or amazon, so you can install operating system on your hdd?

What are you trying to format? The hard drive? If you do this, your laptop will no longer work because you will erase everything on it.

Dont warry friend you can format your drives.Just you goto my computer and then format drives but dont format booted drive.

is the windows cd for ibm specifically?
if not then you will need:
a sound card driver (optional)
a graphics card driver (optional)
a cd rom driver (maybe)
drivers for usb ports (optional)
and any other drives/ input devices on your laptop will need drivers.
when formatting bear this in mind. All data will be lost! proceed knowingly and with caution. one mess up will land you in problems up to your shoulders!
i recommend finding out how to do it safely

look like the winamp audio porblem.
uninstall it.
try to clean up the hard drive by using defregmentation.
reinstall the winamp again.
