Here is a link to the 556FTR from Australia.
They are all pretty much the same. The US site has similar info. Just google Rinnai. Open the site, go to resources tab and click downloads. The manuals are easy to locate.

I have a rinnai energysaver 556f heater and the "On" buttons keeps flashing and it feels like it's blowing cold air. The "LO" button keeps flashing as well. What does this mean?

It is telling you that there is an error code stored in the EPROM. Press and hold the Economy button and the Up and Down arrows for 5 seconds. Get ready to tell an assistant the codes as they pop up. You may have to do this a few times to get them all. Repost the error codes here on Fixya if you don''t have an owners manual to interpret the codes.

My tank says I have 32 gallons left but the heater won't work (rinnai 556f). It turns on for about 15 seconds and the light on the power button turns red and starts blinking. What does this mean?

If you hold down the economy button and the up and down arrow buttons for 5 seconds the unit will start an error code display. Get a helper and yell out the numbers when they start blinking. Post the error codes and we can help you

Rinnai 556F Not Exactly and "Energy Saver"...

Raise the thermistor. It is a black rubber probe located on the back of the heater close to the coldest spot in your home, the floor. Raise it a few inches. To do this you will need to unhook it from its holder and open the front of the heater to unravel the extra length of yellow wire.

Rinnai EnergySaver 556F Heater flashes

I'm picking up a faint propane scent when the heater is completely turned off. When I turn the heater on it lights fine so I don't suspect it's the pilot light. Is this an issue with the installation of the fuel line, or could it still be the pilot? Any ideas on troubleshooting the source?
