How do I change the coil

Some Camry models have the ignition coil next to the distributor, see here p10 on

http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/ig.pdf

and others have separate coil packs on top of each spark plug which you can buy separately.

My mom has a 1995 Toyota Camry and she is having issues with the car starting because of intereference of the alarm system. How can she disable the alarm at home. The dealer wanted $200-$300 to fix the...

This all depends on if this is a factory installed alarm that came with the car from the dealer or if its after market, in both causes some wiring will be needed. she will need to locate the alarm module under the dash on the driverside and disable it by unplugging it, when this is done the alarm is now deatactivated and the car will not start, the next step is to remove the steerind column covers but first look at wiring coming from the column. this wiring will be for steering controls and ignition switch, she will need to locate the starter wire this wire will be cut in half and run into alarm system she will need to conect wire back and that will solve the problem

Would not start, replaced dist.cap, rotor button. it started and went about a block, quit and will not restart

The camry came with all the ignition module and pick up coil inside the distributor, check for spark at the spark plugs, if no spark replace the distributor, if you have spark then check fuel pressure. 38-44 PSI anything less than 38 will cause it to not run
