Cameras : My Camera Freezes When I Turn It On Or Take A Picture

P, td, li {font-family: arial, u; font-size:9pt; margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px; word-spacing:1px;} If you camera freezes when you power it on or when you try to take a picture, you may have a defective memory card. To test your camera and the memory card, follow these steps:

  1. Power off your camera.
  2. Remove the battery from your camera. If you have a memory card inside the camera, remove that as well.
  3. Clean out any dust or debris inside the battery compartment, and then re-insert the battery into your camera.
  4. Power your camera on without the memory card installed.
  5. Take a picture.
    • If your camera takes a picture, re-install the memory card, and then go to Step 6.
    • If it does not take a picture, your camera requires service. To set up service, click the Create Online Service Request button below.
  1. Format the memory card in the camera, and then take another picture.
  2. Important: Formatting erases all pictures and other data from the card. If you have pictures on the memory card you want to keep, download those pictures to your computer before you format the memory card.
    • If your camera does not take a picture with the formatted memory card installed, replace the memory card.
    • If the issue still persists after you’ve installed a new memory card, your camera requires service. To set up service, click the Create Online Service Request button below

My samsung BL103 camera takes good pics inside but ot outside. how do i fix

First make sure that you are in "Automatic" mode, and not in one of the camera's othe manual modes which may keep the shutter open for an extended period. But if you are indeed in auto mode, and it's still doing this, a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open). To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

The copier is saying: Turn the main power switch (on the main unit's right side) OFF & ON again. If the machine still does not operate normally, contact your service representative with the error...

The shutter open sensor does not go on. (The shutter does not open.)

1. Check the shutter home position sensor. Is it normal? 2. Check the wiring between the finisher controller PCB and the stack feeding motor and between the finisher controller PCB and the shutter open/close clutch. Is it normal? 3. Is there a fault in the shutter mechanism? 4. Try replacing the stack edging motor and the shutter open/close clutch.

Make sure the ISO is set to the lowest number or even to "auto ISO". The best way to avoid these lighting problems is to adjust your aperture settings, your shutter speed and your film speed when shooting. Additional details about thus sibject could find in the Samsung_S500_Owners_Manual in section about Settings & Mode.

Shutter appears to be stuck closed.

Theirs oil on the shutter blades causing it to stay closed, Thats why you can't see though the lens or the viewfinder also, This comes from the grease from the zoom assy, It's a major job to fix it, Has to be fixed by a repair shop

Fuji FinePix A820 Won't reset

Hello,
To solve this problem you need to use the SP shooting mode.
Replace battery with new High power ones. and switch ON keeping pressed the PLAY Button.
If still does not retract disable the flash and repeat the operation without the XD/SD Memory Card inserted. It will then close the shutter magic.
Regards,
PDG

Camera turns off when shutter button is pressed.

[source]Question about Samsung Digimax S500 Digital Camera[/source]
Try replacing batteries (high Ah photographic type).
The lens motor & electronics may be draining power if Ah capacity has dropped too low. At night, it could be that your flash is trying to fire (another drain), or shutter timer / mirror staying open longer.
