Take 3 screws out of bottom side of Z shaped metal part on the back of the dryer's top. Stand in front of dryer and use the palms of your hands to sharply push dryer top back about 2 inches and lift top off. Open door and remove screw at 4 and 8 O'Clock position. Remove control panel (ususally 2 screws and a bunch on retaining plastic parts along the top side) and set on top of dryer or unplug electrical plugs and set aside. Remove screws at top of front panel. Unplug light bulb and door switch. Tilt front panel forward and lift off bottom tabs, then unplug moisure sensor wire at bottom, allowing front panel to be set aside. Remove 4 screws at sides of drum support assembly, lift up and off. Release belt, and remove drum. (easier to do if flat metal part originally right behind control panel is removed first) Use belt as a handle and lift drum out of dryer, allowing access to burner assembly. Change burner orfice and regulator blocker. Re-assemble and test.
For the model dryer you have listed, the easiest way to access the door switch is to lift the top panel. The switch can then be removed and replaced by following these steps:
1. UNPLUG the dryer and remove the lint screen.
2. Remove the two screws that were under the lint screen and lift the top panel.
3. Unplug the door switch connector plug and any ground wire that may be installed on the casing. 4. Remove defective switch and replace.
NOTE: Now would be a good time to do a routine inspection and cleaning of the interior dryer cabinet to ensure there's no lint build up.
Once repairs are completed, lower the top panel back in place and reinstall the two screws along the lint screen opening.
NOTE: Placing a piece of duct tape over the dryer vent chute will help safeguard against dropping anything down in the blower fan assembly. If you drop any screws down the chute, you will need to remove the dryer back panel to retrieve them. If you have any questions about this repair, or if the model number is different, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
unplug it,pull out the filter, remove the two screws in front of the filter, with a screw driver pop up the top, stick the screw driver in between the front and top panel on both sides and lift the top.what are you trying to do,if you have an electrical problem all the parts are in the back,if you need to change the belt rollers or pulley then you need to pop the top, remove the front panel to get at them but you don't remove the top,it's on hindges and it flips back.if you tell me what you're trying to fix maybe i can help you.good luck
Access from front. Open door and remove two vertical screws in upper corners of door housing. Lift top slightly and pull forward to remove top. Remove two screws in top corners inside front to remove Front panel.
you will need to take the front panel off, there are screws inside the dryer door, may be two on each bottom corner, and with a screwdriver gently pry up on the top corners as they are clipped in. Then you will have to unhook the door switch. remove the front panel you will need to look at the back top of dryer and make sure there are no screws that are holding the top down, lift up on top of the dryer and it will rest in the up position on the two brackets, the coil is located in the back right hind side an will look like a extended spring. You might want to remove the back upper plate of the dryer as there is usually a diagram in there, of course remember to unplug dryer before working on it. Hope this helps tim
Remove top back of dryer that houses all the switches, remove screws in lint catcher area on top of dryer. Remove screws that are attached to clamps at back of dryer that hold top on. Top should now slid forward for you to remove. At the top of front cover on the backside of it, you need to remove screws that hold on the front cover. Then slide it up for removal. Hold drum or it will fall off. Gas coils are at bottom of dryer.
Not too bad. Unplug. Remove three screws along back, at top edge. Stand in front of dryer and, using the palms of your hands, push back sharply on the top (L & R sides) to slide it back about 2 inches, then lift top off. Remove 2 phillips head screws at 5 and 7 O'clock position behind door. Remove screws holding top control from top corners. Pull top of control panel loose from retaining clips along top. (watch for sharp edges) Set control panel on top of dryer. Remove 4 screws now accessable at top of front panel. Un-plug light, door switch, lift front panel off, and unplug sensor at bottom. Set front panel aside. Remove 4 screws at front of side panel holding front bulkhead (with drum rollers attached), lift up bulkhead and remove. Reach under drum to unhook belt. Remove drum. The hardest part is pobably hooking the belt back on with the tension pulley while reassembling. On a scale of 1 - 10, it rates about a 5.5. First one might take an hour and a half. If you've done a few, you can knock 'em out in about 20 minutes.
Remove the top of the dryer by removing the four screws in the back. the entire top should slide forward an inch allow you to lift and pivot the top off to the side. it will not come off entirely because of electrical wires. with that moved off to the side you should see the top of the drum. reach in the front door of the dryer and rotate the drum so that the loose blade is at the top. in that position you should be able to tighten the screws.
FIRST UNPLUG UNIT!! Remove 2 screws by filter area on main top. Grab back of dryer and pull top forward while holding dryer in place with knees. Do this to pop up top on front left then front right. Remove 2 screws holding front panel 2 side panels. They are at top front of side panels, inside. Pull front panel out at top and pull up to remove front panel. Put belt around drum with grooved side toward drum.
