You need a new lens assembly. I can replace the lens assembly for $65. If you just want to get rid of this camera, I also buy all Pentax Option a10, a20, a30, a40 cameras. Contact me at: mrfixitmark at comcast dot net
It sounds like you need a new main board.Pentax in Arizona will replace the main board for about $135, or I will replace it for $65. If you just want to get rid of this camera, I also buy all Pentax Option a10, a20, a30, a40 cameras. Contact me at: mrfixitmark at comcast dot net
It sounds like you may have a bad lens assembly, or a bad main board. If it is sticking, it will buzz. If it fails to open or close all the way, it will turn itself back off. This is what it sounds like you are saying. I can fix this for $40, or you can send it to Pentax in Arizona. I don't know what they charge for a lens assembly, but the minimum charge for this camera seems to be about $90. If you just want to get rid of this camera, I also buy all Pentax Option a10, a20, a30, a40 cameras.

Try drying the camera out - mine did this after it got wet. After a few days it still didn't work so I put it in front of a fan heater [not too close] for half an hour and after that it was fine.
Dude 1st of all did you charge your batterires. if yes and still not working try changing your battery pack and try to turn it on again. hope im not too late.
if you dont have a codex on your computer (if you're using windows media player) you wont be able to play your videos because this is a requirement for most of the newer pentax.
read your manual for more details
