How can uplode map in uniden navigater - Uniden Mystic GPS Receiver

I believe itsunder the airbox but I could be thinking of a newer model.

no one can help you until we know what maps it uses. Many unidens were sent out with different brand maps

Igo Igo8 Navig8tor Polstar Insync Destinator etc etc.

No maps are free You need to contact Uniden because just buying a map will not work It has to be written for the Uniden engine.

From what I've researched, you may need to download TRAX CENTRAL to your computer. I've included three links, so please review all of the information from all three links to include the owners manual for this program.

Called Uniden almost 12 months ago to be told they were going to provide updates in one month. They never did, I called back and was told they would then be available by June 2008. They never were. Their site now shows the GNS8365 as a Discontinued Product and no further info available. Good marketing ploy to get you to spend money on another up to date product. I bought a Tom Tom instead.

you go to tomtom.com and make sure you have website open before you connect your tomtom to the computer.

try to reset your phone backup first.

I was having the same problem and contacted Garmin support.

What I had done was turned off the Basemap that came with the unit. I only had the mapsource map street map on which I had purchased separately.

The technician basically said the unit needed the basemap to "locate itself". Somehow the basemap supports any maps you purchase separately. That seemed odd but once I turned the Basemap back on it calculated the routes and the error message went away.

If you have the Basemap off, try turning it on from the Map Setup - Information window.
