Your fluid is okay, check the fluid condition. look for glider and if you see glider kinda like metalic paint look-alike then your pump just got worned out. also check your ball joints for wear those cars are knowend to break worn ball joints. if your gear box dont oil pretty much is okay. but mostlikly is your power steering pump. let me know if you need further help.......... send a feeback too please

Grinding and scrapping noise

I'm assuming you are using the correct stock wheels for this vehicle. You will need to check the tracking/alignment on the steering to check it is all lined up correctly. The outer tie rod can be used to adjust the front wheel alignment and if fitted in the wrong position can cause the rim or tyre to rub when at full steering lock.
SAFELY jack up the front of the vehicle and rest the vehicle on jack stands. Spin each wheel and listen for the noise you heard. You may need a helper to turn the steering as you do this. Remove a wheel and take a good look at the inner rim edge and inner face of the wheel rim. Look for scratches and other scrape marks. Do this on both sides. Refit the wheel and get your helper to turn the steering from lock to lock, the scratches should line up with what is causing the sound.

My ignition lock will not turn in my 97 malibu. please help

The tension on the steering wheel lock could be restricting the ignition cylinder. The steering wheel can turn about two inches in the locked position. Try to turn the steering wheel the opposite direction about an inch and hold the wheel in that position. With the other hand turn the key.

2002 grand cherokee laredo humming/grinding

sounds like you have a problem with one of your lines on your power steering or one of its components. the grinding noise could also be one of your pulleys that have gone bad too. check your steering assemby gear box.

Steering wheel locks up when parked

Although the car is not in front of me, it sounds like when you park ( is this parallel parking ? ) your steering wheel is turned hard to the left or right, which creates extreme pressure on the steering wheel lock. In order to help overcome this problem, you must "armstrong" the steering wheel in the same direction the front wheels are turned. Locking up on the freeway with this same issue. Highly unlikely.
